Education & Exhange Days
The Education and Exchange Day (EDEX) takes place annually, usually around November. SSOH colleagues gather to share their experiences with novel studies, professional experience, or new developments from other partner organizations. An example agenda from the last EDEX is below:
Annual General Meeting
he Annual General Meeting (AGM) takes place annually, usually around March. SSOH colleagues gather together to visit a workplace or company in the morning, followed by lunch and the AGM in the afternoon. The AGM generally consists of voting on matters such as board representatives, financial matters, future professional development courses, among other topics. The last AGM in March 2023 was at Swisspor in Châtel-Saint-Denis.
Continuing Education and Professional Development Courses (PDC)
The PDC Group was formed in late 2019-early 2020 with the goal of planning the first ever PDC (personal development course) in Switzerland. The topic was Industrial Hygiene Statistics, featuring the use of Expostats as a tool. Dr. Jérome Lavoué conducted the course online. It was a success and the course was conducted again in French in 2021 in collaboration with the French Society for Occupational Hygiene (SOFHYT). Since then, PDCs were conducted on …. Industrial Ventilation.
In addition to PDCs, this working group also plans events such as the AGM and EDEX Day.
